Mechanical Design Engineer

Leading property and infrastructure consultancy with multi disciplinary scope and a UK wide reach. Assisting a wide range of clients at every stage of the property lifecycle this company has an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Your new role
Working within an established multi disciplined team you will be responsible for delivering infrastructure projects including Utilities, Wastewater, Pumping, Water supply,treatment and transfer systems and Building Services. You will undertake design, bid preparation, specification and tender prep, site asset surveys, energy efficiency strategies as well as on site construction supervision. You will also provide support and design coordination for MEICA aspects of projects as well as assisting the NEC project manager.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be confident and articulate with excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be keen to progress within the field of Mechanical Engineering. You will ideally have some Water sector knowledge and experience, be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering either chartered or nearing chartered status. With over 5 years post graduate experience you will have a good understanding of mechanical engineering within the water industry, have an understanding of pumping systems, P&ID's, mechanical specifications and be able to carry out mechanical design and hydraulic calculations. You will be proficient in MS Project, H&S, DSEAR and HAZOP requirements and have a full driving l,licience.
*Telemetry & SCADA data acquisition systems
*Pump Control using PID control of VSD's
*HV pumping power generation and CHP
*Water waste water process design and MEICA inputs
* Building Services experience including HVAC, portable water systems, fire suppression experience, Part L of Building Regs
*experience in NEC3 PM, programming map info/GIS, AutoCAD, BIM/Revit
