Assistant Director of Estates & Facilities (Engineering + Maintenance)
Reporting to the Director of Estates and Facilities, the postholder will lead a multi-disciplinary team of in-house professionals and external delivery partners to ensure that the BCU estates portfolio is proactively maintained and improved.

Reporting to the Director of Estates and Facilities, the postholder will lead a multi-disciplinary team of in-house professionals and external delivery partners to ensure that the BCU estates portfolio is proactively maintained and improved. The role-holder will ensure that the team offers appropriate levels of responsiveness to reactive estates issues, ensures proactive management of estates compliance, drives value for money through strategic maintenance investment and gives high-quality input into the brief and design for capital investment across the estate.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of leading an estates maintenance and engineering function across a complex, multi-building estate portfolio. You will possess a relevant technical background and knowledge in an engineering or built environment related discipline, thus giving the capability to lead the team confidently on technical issues. Strong leadership and management skills are essential, with the ability to manage both in-house and external contracts particularly important.
