Electrical Engineer - Wind Power, Edinburgh
Cathcart Energy are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer with wind farm experience to work on performance improvement and asset life extension for the owner operator of a large number of UK based onshore wind farms.
You will be providing Electrical Engineering support to the whole business with a particular focus on asset monitoring, performance improvement and managing procurement for electrical sub contractors.
The ideal candidate will have a background in wind energy ideally working for a turbine manufacturer or involved at some stage with the construction phase of wind farms but any Electrical Engineers with experience of grid connected power generation will be considered.
You will ideally be able to bring knowledge of grid connection, Scada/PLC systems and High Voltage authorisations but training and support can be given to supplement your existing experience if any of these areas are lacking.
During your role you will have the opportunity to gain Senior Authorised Person status and you would not need to already be an SAP.
On offer is an attractive package including bonus, car and pension and you will be working directly for the wind farm owner and so have a great deal of autonomy in your role.
The position will be largely office based in Edinburgh with some travel to wind farms across the UK.
If you would like to find out more about this role and be considered, please contact Luke Westendarp at Cathcart Energy and apply with your latest CV.
