Senior BCO starting at £40,110 and rising to £45,100 p.a.
Group BCO starting at £48,490 and rising to £54,870 p.a.

The Department for the Built Environment is responsible for the delivery of a range of construction and regulatory functions in the City of London including a high quality award winning Building Control Service.
Our projects portfolio is predominantly multi-million pound office and retail developments, hotels and residential apartment blocks which often embrace leading edge innovative design solutions.
As a Senior or Group BCO (M&E) you will administer the full range of requirements applicable under the Building Regulations relating to mechanical, electrical, fire safety and building services installations. This will involve negotiating with property development professionals, plans examination and reviewing technical submissions. Conducting site inspections and witnessing and appraising commissioning testing is also required along with recording the actions. The ability to communicate, interface and work alongside our clients is therefore essential.
We welcome experienced Mechanical and/or Electrical services Engineers with background knowledge of Life Safety systems to buildings. Previous experience in Building Control is not essential as training will be provided.
You will be committed to delivering a first class customer focussed service in a competitive environment and the promotion of Local Authority Building Control. Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualifications or experience) and holding a professional qualification or significant experience in an appropriate field you will be fully conversant with the controlling legislation.
