Senior Mechanical Engineer - South London - £50K to £60K + Bonus & Package
Human Capital Solutions is with an established building services consultancy, based just south of London, who have been in business for 35 years with around 30 staff focusing on MEP Building Services and Sustainability. They have developed a team of down to earth, talented engineers and is looking to add an additional Electrical support.
They have with varied projects across Commercial, Hotels, Mixed Use, High-End Residential sectors. They have a solid reputation and a strong position in the market working with clients such as British Land and Land Securities.
The role will focus on smaller works and require an element of project management. Examples of the types of projects undertaken are below.
This role would suit an Engineer who doesn't want to be tied to the desk and prefers to have a varied role. The role involves working closely with contractors on design, surveying, technical review, commissioning, witness testing etc.
You will work alongside a team of experienced engineers, developing your design and project management knowledge, whilst be given plenty of opportunity to lead on projects and be actively encouraged to develop your technical and client facing, commercial skills.
Typical projects include:
Australia High Commission - Load monitoring, verification of existing LV schematic, main LV panel replacement design, modifying generator install to support the whole building.
350 bedroom student accommodation. Design/tech subs checking role for the main contractor prior to submission to the University, assisting with commissioning and witnessed testing.
New college facility for relocating college. Stage E design for D&B project for main contractor. Checking of designs/tech subs and on site quality control.
Re-stack for an investment bank design over 5 floors for electrical contractor.
Commercial Cat B fit-out design of two floors for electrical contractor.
Residential replacement fire alarm system for large office building on behalf of the building managers.
University - New £35M multi-use building.
