Overview

Intermediate Design Engineer well on the way to a senior role, or alternatively a Senior Design Engineer.

Likely to either be HND or degree qualified and ACIBSE on the way to corporate membership if not already attained.  Alternatively the right experience may substitute for qualifications.

Experience

A sound Knowledge of Psychrometrics, including desiccant dehumidification processes, latent cooling, humidification, heating and external design criteria.

A background in all aspects of the design of full air conditioning schemes for manufacturing applications.

Experience in design for the Pharmaceutical and allied industries, including HVCA for Cleanrooms, Containment Suites, Production Facilities and Laboratories would be an advantage.

Design experience of Chilled water, LTHW, Steam and domestic services systems.

Experience in writing specifications, and producing equipment schedules.

Experience and competence in use of HEVACOMP design software.

Ability to use AutoCAD an advantage but not necessary.

Experience of project costing an advantage but again not necessary.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Practical ability to undertake site surveys, and evaluate existing mechanical services installations.

IT confident and good communication skills; must be confident and able to liaise with Clients directly.

Remuneration package shall be commensurate with age and ability.
