Team Leader – Engineering (Mechanical)

UCL is embarking on a 10 year Capital Programme which will see capital investment over the period amounting to around £1.2bn and including the development of a New University Quarter (UCL East) at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The post holder will be responsible for managing, directing and advising a multi-disciplined team of building services engineers and act as the primary point of contact for all mechanical maintenance and technical/infrastructure issues. You would lead the preparation, prioritisation, co-ordination and delivery of assigned projects and programmes across all aspects of planned works, strategic maintenance and minor works. The role will also provide the lead mechanical engineering input in complex infrastructure projects including the new development at UCL East.
The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of mechanical building services with proven experience in managing an external supply chain of consultants and contractors (in addition to an in-house team). You will be fully conversant with all aspects of mechanical legalisation with a strong understanding of modern technologies and solutions. This role will suit individuals who have developed people management skills within a large complex organisation.
