We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to work for an ever expanding consultancy due to an increase in their workload.

The company has almost been trading for more than 40 years and with offices based all around the UK. They provide professional consultancy for the design and management of engineering services for buildings and associated infrastructure where they have always placed a strong emphasis on innovation and keeping abreast with new technologies and the company has developed specialist departments to enhance their design service.

In addition to the traditional core MEP engineering services disciplines, the company embodies in-house expertise in low carbon and low energy design, renewable energy generation, BREEAM, sustainability and facilities management.

Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer Roles Responsibilities:
  • Developing mechanical HVAC design projects (heating, ventilation & air conditioning)
  • Producing specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documentation required on a project
  • Developing design calculations – pipe sizing, ducting sizing, heat loss / gain calculations.
  • Attending design team and site inspection meetings
  • Conducting surveys
  • Liaison with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, and sub-contracts as required to facilitate the needs of the project
  • Using industry software such as Hevacomp, Cymap, AutoCAD IES and Revit MEP.
