A building services consultancy is looking for an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer  due to an increase in their workload.

The practice has a wide range of experience in all types of construction works however they specialise in projects such as high-end retail, travel, leisure, commercial and residential projects that require excellence in design. The practice specialises in demanding construction projects that require a high-quality architectural standards of design. The company employ around 40 staff across two offices working together to provide professional engineering expertise.

Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer Roles Responsibilities:
  • Developing mechanical HVAC design projects (heating, ventilation & air conditioning)
  • Producing specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documentation required on a project
  • Developing design calculations – pipe sizing, ducting sizing, heat loss / gain calculations.
  • Attending design team and site inspection meetings
  • Conducting surveys
  • Liaison with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, and sub-contracts as required to facilitate the needs of the project
  • Using industry software such as Hevacomp, Cymap, AutoCAD IES.
