My client has been established for over 15 years and have grown to well over 60 staff in the London office. They have worked on a diverse portfolio of work including new build and refurb commercial projects, residential, hotels, working with several prestigious and well know clients.
They are currently looking for an engineer with a passion for sustainability and previous experience of thermal modelling and building simulation using TAS or IES software, along with a well-rounded understanding of Part L, along with thermal comfort, heating and cooling loads for buildings, Knowledge of CFD daylighting and building simulation would be a valued skillset.
Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
- Thermal modelling and load analysis
- Production of design sketches and calculations
- Analysis of central plant solutions including CHP, tri-generation and renewables
- Part L compliance analysis
- Renewables feasibility studies
- Technical research as necessary
- Life cycle cost analyses
- Strategic sustainability reports
- Strategic energy reports
- Analysis of system options
- Analysis of central plant solutions including CHP, tri-generation and renewables
- Site surveys and inspections
- Production of reports as necessary
- Co-ordination with other internal engineers, CAD operators and administration staff
- Liaise and co-ordination with other external design disciplines
- Attendance at meetings as necessary
- Maintaining personal CPD programme
