Plant Manager (Leisure centre)
Leisure facility require an M&E engineer to manage the day to day operations and maintenance. £17.33 per hour

Our client is a large local authority located across Co. Antrim and Co. Down. This role will be based in East Belfast at a large leisure facility which hosts a range of indoor and outdoor leisure activities. They have an immediate requirement for a Mechanical or Electrical Plant Maintenance Manager, pay rate £17.33 per hour.
Your new role
This is a temporary post, requiring someone who is available to commence immediately to cover a member of staff on secondment.
The duration of the position will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
Based at a busy leisure facility on the outskirts of Belfast you will work as part of the Technical and Estates team reporting to the Building & Plant Maintenance Manager.
You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the plant and equipment at the facility including the supervision and control of maintenance staff, implementing the PPM and energy management programme, organising and monitoring work undertaken by external contractors.
You will only be required to provide input to annual tenders and quotations for maintenance service contracts. Ensure all Health and Safety legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures are compiled in relation to Plant based services and activities in the facility.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have a third level qualification i.e. degree, NVQ level 4 or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
Should you not have the essential qualification you must have 6 years relevant experience.
You will also be able to demonstrate two years' experience in preparation of quotations and tenders, implementation of energy management programmes, budget management of c.£60k and managed H&S risks relevant to plant maintenance.
Hold a full UK driving licence. To be considered for this position you must have at least 3 years relevant experience in the maintenance of mechanical, electrical services, plant and equipment.
It would be desirable to have knowledge of health and safety in a property, construction or engineering environment.

The hourly rate is £17.33 per hour, 34 days paid annual leave, pro rata. You will be paid every Friday via BACS transfer.
