Ambitious and highly competent Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer sought by established, successful, 30 employee Building Services Engineering Consultancy firm.

Our client is keen to appoint a person whose technical capabilities are augmented by the drive and leadership qualities which would propel them to a Directorship within the business within a short time frame.

The company designs and specifies M&E services for a wide range of buildings including offices, data centres, residential apartments, schools, colleges and hotels, with an emphasis on sustainable, low carbon design and business critical systems for mostly Blue Chip clients across sectors including Aviation, Broadcasting, Financial Services, Telecommunications and Education – to cover a few.

Electrical design services include the electrical supplies for buildings covering HV & LV power, lighting, data cabling, generators and UPS systems, fire alarm and fire suppressant systems, CCTV and alarms. 

You should have broad based experience across a range of sectors with good computer and communication skills. Familiarity with the following software packages would be an advantage, but training will be given as necessary: TAS, DiaLux, Cymap, Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit.

The post holder will be involved in key aspects of supervising engineers and dealing direct with Clients in a face to face environment. The role also entails managing projects, the project team and the delivery of their services to Clients and reporting directly to the Project Director.

Senior Engineers take responsibility for all aspects of the design and specification of building services installation, including project control and management, supervision of project engineers, surveys, technical and condition reports, quality inspections, dealing with contractors, attending site meetings, taking minutes, report writing, and checking Operation & Maintenance manuals.

CIBSE accredited qualifications such as BEng (Hons), BSc or MSc are expected, and ideally members or associated members of CIBSE or Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET)
