Reactive Works Manager/Soft Landings Manager
We are currently recruiting for two roles within our Parliamentary Maintenance Services Team:
Reactive Works Manager (1 post)
You will have the day to day responsibility for ensuring all Parliamentary Maintenance Services Team (PMST) reactive work tasks (approx 30,000 pa) across the Parliamentary Estate are completed safely, within required KPI’s and in the most cost effective method available.
You will be responsible for reactive works budgets of approx £2m p.a. Liaising with Service Delivery Managers on building inspections, and the Service Delivery Helpdesk team on the recording and progress of reactive works calls. Assisting the PMST Reactive & Ceremonial Maintenance Manager with major ceremonial functions such as State Opening, Operation Marquee etc.
Soft Landings Manager (1 post)
The post-holder will act as the “Intelligent Client” on behalf of the Parliamentary Maintenance Services Team (PMST) to ensure the project strategy and design brief meet the required functionality, effectiveness, maintainability and life cycle required
You will also be responsible for ensuring that the operational budget is set early in the design process and that changes to design are reviewed for their impact on operational running costs throughout the design, commissioning and handover of Strategic Estates (SE) projects to ensure they comply with agreed maintenance standards.
The successful candidates will have experience in using and managing maintenance and/or reactive works systems as well as practical experience in more than 1 trade. If you are keen to apply for the Reactive Works Manager, this will need to be practical experience within an electronical/mechanical field.
You will need to possess strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with a diverse pool of customers and stakeholders.
