Together, our range of teams provide mission-critical services to all kinds of government-level customers, including the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
One significant part of that offering is our work in construction, refurbishment and alteration of secure government buildings; an area where we deliver over 600 projects a year. That could include anything from engineering a new secure site to refurbishing an ambassador’s residence to repairing an embassy hit by flooding. Whatever the challenge, it’s all handled by the Professional Services Centre – and you’ll be at the helm.

A member of a professional construction body, you’re also an exceptionally experienced leader – and it’s just as well, because you’ll be there to inspire a group of exceptionally skilled professionals, including over 120 permanent staff, as well as contractors and apprentices. From project managers to surveyors; architects to security engineers, the Professional Services Centre are trained specialists in every area of secure construction and engineering – and you’ll push them on to higher things. With infectious vision and a passion for quality, your strategy will nourish this skilled workforce, boosting their future capacity and capability, as well as maintaining cost-effectiveness.

You’re used to leading a multi-disciplinary construction team to pull together on complex projects – and this will put that to the test. Under your leadership, our team will work on a vast range of projects around the world at any one time, for both our government and friendly foreign governments. Thanks to your keen eye for long-term business planning and best-practice allocation methods, each piece of work we do will have the flexibility, resource, capacity and management needed to deliver excellence for the customer, every time. You’ll even work with customer feedback to improve that process year on year.
