Mechanical Technical Manager
A well-renowned engineering consultancy has an exciting opportunity for a senior level mechanical career professional who has the ability to provide technical and design leadership and support other technical experts across the design groups during a period of significant growth.
The successful candidate will work with an electrical counterpart, our various technical committees and all mechanical and public health engineers across the company providing technical advice and support to maintain and enhance the quality of our deliverables, and promote innovation in our design work.
You will contribute to the continued development of mechanical and public health design standards across all aspects of the business, both in the UK and Overseas, including the concepts being adopted, standard and quality of design, application on projects, promotion of best practice and overall risk management to the business.
The successful candidate must be a qualified mechanical design engineer with a wide technical experience, with excellent practical and commercial awareness with at least 15/20 years' mechanical design experience within the building services consultancy sector.
You should have substantial multi-million pound project experience within the commercial residential and mixed use development areas.
This is a key role for the future development of the company and the successful candidate should have extensive experience in the delivery and management of challenging projects including commercial management.
You should have the ability to work with their design teams and promote best practice with a strong business development capability through professional networking. You should have highly developed negotiation skills and excellent commercial acumen.
You should be degree qualified in a relevant subject (Mechanical or Building Services Engineering) and preferably Chartered with professional membership of the IMechE and/or CIBSE
