Their service covers the complete range of Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health engineering, to include lighting, sustainable and environmental design, acoustic & fire engineering, lift consultancy, process engineering, project management and 3D modelling and BIM.
Your new role
Project Designer working within a team to develop lighting schemes primarily for the high end residential & hospitality market within the UK, Ireland & Europe.
Duties and responsibilities would include working within a team environment to produce concept and detailed design packages, including AutoCAD plans and design details, specifications and schedules, build mock-ups, prepare sketch design proposals and liaise with architects, interior designers, and equipment suppliers. Attend design and site meetings in the UK and overseas.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience of lighting design is essential. IT skills must include: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop and DIALux. Knowledge of BIM/Revit & DIALux Evo would be beneficial but not essential. Applicants must be able to hand sketch proficiently and have a knowledge of the wider design community.
All applications must include a covering letter, CV and examples of work that demonstrate your thinking, your visual communication skills and your interest in light. Portfolios should be a maximum of 10 pages and must include at least one example of each of the following:
- Hand sketch
- Photoshop render
- Images of completed projects
*Note that these must be predominantly your own work.
