Brilliant opportunity to get involved with a busy and ever-growing building services consultancy as an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer.

The client that we are currently working with have been up and running for over 30 years now and work on some of the most exciting projects in the industry. For instance, the design of the Royal Albert Dock and all the mixed developments of the on the 35-acre site. The engineers within this consultancy are extremely talented and mostly unmatched within the industry. Their office is bustling and extremely vibrant having around 70 design engineers operating from their Blackburn office on a variety of projects in a plethora of different sectors. They need an intermediate Mechanical engineer to come and join their growing team to assist with their ever-increasing workload.

The successful engineer will be ambitious and willing to learn. They will have aspirations of growing with the consultancy and becoming a well versed and very technically capable engineer. This company Is willing to invest a lot of time and money in to the development of your success and will try and help you achieve it in every way possible. You will have good design capabilities and knowledge of a variety of different software's. You will have ideally started going top site visits and liaised with clients and feel confident with this.

Intermediate Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

Working alongside the design team to ensure all projects are met to the correct specifications
*Undertaking detailed mechanical building services design calculations.
*Producing feasibility reports, design specifications and drawings suitable for a wide range of design phases
*Surveying of Mechanical Building services
*Liaising with other professionals within the business as well as externally to ensure all specifications are met
*Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
*Helping with the supervision of installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures

What is required from you as an Intermediate Mechanical engineer is that you have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within a design capacity and ideally will be working towards chartership. You will also have a good appreciation of other disciplines and will be able to liaise with other professionals. You will have good working knowledge of a variety of different software packages and be able to use them daily.
