Free assessment on non-accredited and international qualifications
For CEng, IEng, and EngTech registration with the Engineering Council

CIBSE recognises that many engineers hold non accredited Engineering qualification(s) or have a combination of engineering qualifications which may be equivalent to the educational requirements for CEng registration.

The CIBSE Individual Case Procedure Panel (ICP) can assess qualifications which are not accredited or are non-standard to evaluate whether the academic equivalent for CEng has been achieved. The assessment is based on the Engineering Council’s learning outcomes requirements for an accredited qualification(s) for CEng.

To find out if your qualifications meet the academic standard for CEng registration you can apply for a Qualification Assessment by the ICP. The Panel will be able to advise whether you have achieved the required educational base for CEng, your options for further learning, if applicable and/or if your application for Membership and Registration will follow the Alternative Route to CEng MCIBSE.

CIBSE will be happy to advise you on an individual basis if you provide full details of your qualifications to date by completing a Qualification Assessment Form.
