Associate Director – Mechanical Services

We are looking for an ambitious and highly capable mechanical services engineer to join our expanding MEP design department as Associate Director.
Ideal candidates will have circa 10 years post-graduate experience, Chartered, coming from a professional services background.
We are looking for individuals with a high level of technical ability who can manage project teams delivering MEP design services.
ERS Design is the M&E design department within the well established ERS Sustainability Consultancy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a fast growing, diverse and dynamic business.
The role will suit someone who has been operating at a senior level, who is now looking to take a career move to Associate Director Level, who will become an integral part of the company’s growth and future executive team.

The Company:
ERS was founded in 2006 providing energy and sustainable design services. Our core business is the provision of energy compliance, environmental assessment, dynamic modelling, BREEAM and building physics analysis.
We are proud to have a loyal and growing client base who return to ERS due to the quality of our staff, friendly approach and genuine desire to provide excellent service. As a result in 2016 we formed a new MEP design department to complement the existing validation and compliance departments to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ offering.
The M&E design team is run by experienced professionals who are committed to the highest levels of technical service. We are involved in a range of project types, sectors and sizes. Our current project appointments include Industrial, multi-residential, healthcare, commercial, sustainable/low energy, high-end residential and education.

The Role:
You will be a hands-on focused individual who can uphold our own standards for quality and customer service.
You will be expected to manage multiple projects with minimal support and liaise with internal teams of professionals.
Ideally you will have considerable experience of working within a Building Services Consultancy and will be familiar with preparing mechanical services designs and specifications. Involvement in the preparation of bids, marketing and client presentations is to be expected as a senior member of the team.
The role will involve representing ERS at client/project team meetings. The candidate will be expected to build and develop client relationships. Commercial awareness is important as well as managing time and project fees.
If you can work on your own initiative, have good technical ability and are looking to join a new growing consultancy at this exciting time we would be delighted to hear from you.
