Taking Mechanical projects from enquiry through entire project cycle to completion

Your new company
A small and friendly well established company who specialise in historic buildings. The offices are set in the beautiful countryside in Hampshire. Easy accessible from the M3 and M27.

A Mechanical engineer role, someone with design experience of the full range of mechanical building services and a working knowledge of current standards and regulations. You will report to the director and develop schemes from concept stage through to detailed
tender packages and then following the project through the construction stage, liaising with
contractors and other design team members as required. You will undertake feasibility studies, options appraisals, condition surveys and preparation of reports.
The workload will be varied, interesting and challenging with projects ranging in value from £50k to £7.5M providing the opportunity for reasonably fast turnaround and rapid knowledge development. You will be given as much responsibility as you can handle and supported along the way. You will manage projects and be responsible for their delivery on time and on budget. You will work to develop client relationships and support business development. You will support other staff and assist with training and planning. You will bid for work and gain an understanding of terms and conditions for professional engagements / contracts.

What you'll need to succeed
A proven track record in Mechanical Design (Building Services). You will require a positive approach, a willingness to expand core skills and to learn new ones. A General interest in old and historic buildings is essential.
