Associate / Senior Associate Property Services team Leader | Birmingham | International Consultancy

Your new company
This is a specialist consultancy who are a successful, international firm of M&E and public health engineers. They have a client-focused and design-led service which is complemented by their commitment to excellence and a passion for innovative sustainable design.

Your new role
Team Leaders inspire their team in ownership and delivery of their Projects. Team Leaders also demonstrate strong leadership capabilities providing supervision and guidance to team members and other staff. The Teams work cooperatively with other teams to deliver a wide variety of Projects with Team Leaders meeting regularly to discuss workload and other management issues. Team Leaders help, recruit, train and develop their team members and their careers to ensure ongoing succession and growth of the Practice.
You will be working on a varied portfolio of projects both in the UK and internationally. You will take the lead and deliver on small projects up to the value of a few million, and support larger projects, with values of £100million+.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone with chartered status or equivalent experience, Strong technical knowledge in primary engineering discipline and relevant UK and applicable EU regulations, design guides etc. A good understanding of the secondary engineering discipline, good contractual and commercial knowledge. Experience managing projects to avoid technical and commercial risk IT literate with an understanding of relevant IT packages i.e. Amtec, Hevacomp, IES and Microsoft office. Excellent written and spoken English skills Excellent organisational and planning skills to effectively work to timescales and deadlines. Extensive knowledge of contract administration, procurement and conditions of contract/ appointment. You must be able to develop effective relationships with well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills and have a proven track record in work winning and building successful teams.
