Senior Process Engineer – Pharma Services

Charnwood, Loughborough


RGB are pleased to be working with one of the most innovative manufacturing companies in the world. Specialising in the development of pharmaceutical products, they require a Senior Process Engineer to oversee the workload of a team of process engineers at a brand new, state of the art complex based in Loughborough, a short distance from Nottingham and Leicester.

You will be tasked with ensuring all facilities and processes operate in compliance with strict and heavily regulated polices so we are ideally looking for someone with facilities/ project engineering background with around 5 years’ experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry.

Job responsibilities will spread across 5 main areas including:
  • Quality:  Ensure GMP is adhered to in all areas of work
  • Health & Safety: Understand Company H&S policy and follow all Company HSE procedures. Report all accidents or any unsafe conditions in the work place. 
  • Training & Development: Ensure training has been received before undertaking specific duties and that all training is recorded in training records.
  • HR Management: Adhere to all HR policies and procedures, to include all absence policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate within your own department to ensure that all relevant information is forwarded to the appropriate personnel on a regular and timely basis.  Provide regular updates to your line manager regarding progress on required duties and the status of any projects.

Essential Criteria
  • Educated to Degree Level in an engineering discipline – Ideally Chemical or Mechanical
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering excellent results and projects in the pharmaceutical industry or similar heavily regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience of engineering systems and compliance with statutory regulation
  • Knowledge of plant and utilities such as: HVAC systems, steam generation, LTHW systems, chilled water plant, compressed air plant
  • Experience with control systems such as BMS
  • Experience investigating plant or process failures and implantation or corrective and preventative actions
Desirable Criteria
  • Chartered Engineer Status
  • Experience of providing process engineering support to pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Experience of specification, design, installation, commissioning and project management of process and utility equipment including safety management of contractors.
  • Working knowledge of purified water plant
  • Knowledge of maintenance reliability techniques e.g. Six Sigma, RCM FMEA
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
  • Detailed mechanical, electrical and building services engineering skills
  • Proficient in the use of risk management techniques
