A position for a Senior Mechanical design Engineer Vacancy for a leading multi-disciplinary construction has just opened up in the heart of Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the leading Multi-Disciplinary Consultancies in the UK.

The company was established in the UK over 70 years ago where they have 10 offices. The company provides their clients with a truly multi-disciplined professional consultancy service which includes Architecture, BIM Consulting, Building Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Building Services Maintenance Civil & Structural Engineering, , Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Sustainability services just to name a few.

They are looking for an Senior Mechanical Engineer with a building services design background looking to progress within this multi-disciplinary company Projects they have worked on are Commercial, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Education, Healthcare, High-Rise Hotels, Residential, Heritage and Sports & Leisure.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer’s Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Have Experience with HVAC design projects that deliver high levels of sustainable standards and integrating low energy and renewable technologies including heat networks and CHP.
  • Take a lead in projects to design mechanical engineering systems including low energy and renewable.
  • Prepare, ready for tender, specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules and contract documentation.
  • Develop and present project design proposals to a client brief and internal discussions so that client requirements are met.
  • Developing mechanical HVAC design projects (heating, ventilation & air conditioning)
  • Producing specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documentation required on a project
  • Developing design calculations – pipe sizing, ducting sizing, heat loss / gain calculations.
  • Attending design team and site inspection meetings
  • Conducting surveys
  • Liaison with clients, professional organisations, contractors, suppliers, and sub-contracts as required to facilitate the needs of the project
  • Using industry software such as Hevacomp, Cymap and AutoCAD.
