M&E Site Supervisor, 12 month Secondment, North Yorkshire, Paying between £17 - £18 per hour, 37 hour week

The Councils Housing and Operational Property team are looking to appoint a Supervisor to join the In-House Maintenance Team who provide an extensive repairs and maintenance service to the Council's public, commercial and social housing properties.
Your new role
Programming and co-ordination of mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance operations required within the pubic, commercial and domestic properties. To ensure the IHMT have identified the work required to meet the agreed current M&E standard, mandatory safety checks to be carried out, to co-ordinate sub-contractors where necessary to facilitate major works, to update the Repairs Manager and Clients with all information regarding on-going projects, issues and to liaise with suppliers in respect of purchase and delivery of materials, diagnose M&E defects and specify remedial work, design and specify adaptation to ensure compliance with the building regulations, provide hands on assistance when required, assist the Repairs Manager in respect of site visits, problem resolution, van checks, health and safety checks, equipment checks and management, health and safety surveillance checks, supply chain management, sub-contractor management. Liaise with tenants or prospective tenants and colleagues regarding the specific requirements of work required within commercial or domestic dwelling in an electrical or mechanical factor.
What you'll need to succeed
Need to be flexible, experience of efficiently supervising a multi-skilled team operatives, strong understanding of mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance, defect diagnosis and resolution skills,user experience of an IT based building control systems, experience within local authority environment, BMS systems knowledge and HVAC experience would be beneficial and drivers licence is essential.
