Associate Director - (Building Services) for a multi-disciplinary practice in the West Midlands .
Your new company

You will be working for an organisation that have technical excellence at the heart of what they do and their projects are full of complex design challenges.
Your new role
You will be working as an Associate Director and be responsible to the Head of Engineering, you will either be responsible for a market sector, a major project or another avenue that suits your experience. You will be managing a team of engineers of all levels and be responsible for the delivery of projects both technically and commercially. You will also ensure you have the resources in place to meet the deliverable's on the project
Key duties will involve: -
Day-to-day management of the team
Help develop the department to meet business objectives
Assist in business development for design opportunities
Ensure team compliance
Lead design delivery across multiple projects, in single- or multi- discipline teams
Report on project performance
Lead tender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimates
Lead multi-disciplinary design teams where required
Carry out technical design reviews
Be open to and encourage innovation
Mentor, train and develop junior engineers, particularly with reference to CIBSE memberships
Develop capabilities of all team member
Motivate individuals to maximise performance
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have a broad engineering background across more complex design environments including rail, healthcare, pharmaceutical , industrial, R&D & process environments.
Hold relevant building services qualifications in Electrical, mechanical , environmental engineering, building services engineering.
Ideally C.Eng or I Eng but not an essential.
Have operated at a senior level, managing businesses or teams of design staff in building services environments and taken the lead on all the front end design process for large complex projects.

The basic salary is approx 65K + car or car allowance of approx 6.5K, contributory pension with generous employer contributions, annual bonus, flexible working (core hours), free parking, funding for training and memberships and a whole host of other benefits.
