Building Service (Mechanical) Engineer
Oxford University Estates Services is seeking a degree qualified Professional Engineer to work in the Mechanical team within the Building Services section. You will have relevant post-graduation experience and be working towards achieving Chartered status. The University will provide you with the necessary skills and a wide range of experience to apply for full membership of a relevant institution.
Estates Services is responsible for the management and strategic direction of the University of Oxford’s functional and commercial estate comprising some 440 buildings and the associated infrastructure. Buildings and their services are very diverse, ranging from world renowned historic buildings to highly complex, state-of-the-art research buildings.
You will use your engineering skills and experience to manage consultants and contractors delivering the design, installation, operation and maintenance of Mechanical systems and manage maintenance contracts on a variety of complex installations. As you become more experienced, you can also expect to be involved with £ multi-million capital projects and support the Sustainability section improving the energy efficiency of the estate.
