I am actively seeking Principal Electrical Design Engineers for one of The UK's and the World's leading Multi-Discipline Consulting Companies.

You will lead one of the Company's Design teams thus, you will be managing and mentoring Senior, Interdeiate, Junior and Graduate Building services Electrical Design Engineers.

Working closely with an Associate, you will be responsible to step up to theis level in their absence etc.

You must be able to lead by example and have excellent communication skills.

You must hold a relevant Degree, BEng or BSc

It will be a real advantage if your are Chartered, however, it is not 100% essential, particualrly if you are looking to achieve this status.

Other key factors of this role include:

Responsible to lead the design team to enhance the “Design Excellence” through qualified project delivery.
Manage design stage including coordination with project stakeholders and others external and internal
parties to achieve project milestones targets up to construction documents and selection of contractors.

Acts as the Company representative with the Client and selected consultants and contractors during the
program execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key sub-consultants.
Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the project.
Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan and other

Technical Report writing
Establish Project schedules / controls
Follow up and control deliverables
Liaise with clients concerning progress through meetings and transmittals
Conduct Management review meetings to update higher management.
Manage & co-ordinate engineering activities, designers & CAD operators for specific projects.
Supervise subordinate personnel in preparing plans, specifications and preliminary construction layouts
and cost estimates.
Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final
deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
Plans, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal and administrative
functions of the assigned project or subtask.
Assigns responsibility to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilise their qualifications & strengths.
Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
Work with other managers, project engineers and discipline Heads to develop budgets, schedules and
plans for the various elements of a project.
Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns
or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
