M&E Clerk of Works
M&E Clerk of Works for a 6-12 month assignment in Birmingham on large scale Public Sector projects
Your new company
You will be working for a well known consultancy based in Birmingham who are looking to add to the M&E Clerk of Works team due to a large scale programme of capital works.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical scope of works on a number of large scale and some smaller scale projects where you will be responsible for documenting the progress on the project by the electrical and mechanical sub-contractors, you will be there to provide any advice, ensure the programme is being delivered to the specification, pick up on an technical problems, attend design team meetings, provide written documentation on the project and towards the end of the project look at snagging and handover.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be conversant with both mechanical and electrical systems and ideally have worked as a clerk of works covering both disciplines. Ideally you will have worked on large scale commercial projects including offices, education, healthcare etc rather than just housing. Any memberships to any bodies would be welcome but not absolutely necessary.

You will have autonomy over your projects and be trusted to report back on your projects. The contract length is currently 6 months but the role could go on for a considerable time further.
