Do you want the opportunity to join a world class multidisciplinary consultancy as a principal mechanical engineer of their building services division?
Our client is renowned worldwide and have cemented themselves firmly as one of the market leaders and work on some of the biggest and most interesting projects in the country. They currently employ nearly 1000 professionals of varying disciplines in over 20 locations across the globe. They work on some brilliant projects across the country for instance, technically challenging data centres to the more iconic and visually impressive high value mixed development schemes. They are currently looking for a well versed and innovative Principal Mechanical Engineer to come and join them in the Newcastle office to assist with their ever-increasing workload.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be working as part of a design team delivering detailed design of mechanical systems throughout a number of different building types. You will be expected to use a variety of design packages such as Autocad, Revit, Hevacomp and IES. You will be comfortable liaising with other professionals internally and externally from the business and be expected to attend project and technical meetings. You will over see the installation of building systems and be expected to design site specific equipment where needed. You will be comfortable advising clients and other professionals to ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget and to the client's specification. You will be fully confident leading teams of engineers to complete projects and be able to take charge on projects.
Principal Mechanical Engineer Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or the relevant equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years design experience either with a building services consultancy or contractor
- Chartered or working toward chartership
- Ability to lead teams of engineers
- Ability to use a variety of different design packages
- Proficient in the use of MS Packages
- Exemplary design skills
- Full UK driving license
