SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT: BREEAM £40k to £50k + Pension Location: Rochester, Kent

We are a multi discipline design consultancy actively looking to expand our sustainability arm of the company, by appointing an experienced Sustainability Consultant to work alongside our current assessors on a diverse portfolio of projects.

About you:
You will be a motivated sustainability professional with specific experience undertaking environmental
assessments. You will have undertaken a variety of different BREEAM Assessments with experience
taking projects from conception through to completion, and you will possess the knowledge and
experience to mentor and develop more junior members of staff.

About the role:
The role requires the successful applicant to work on a diverse array of national projects working across
the residential, commercial, healthcare, and retail sectors. The initial focus will be undertaking
environmental assessments however wider experience in energy, SAP calculations, SBEM calculations
and thermal modelling would be advantageous.

We provide a range of assessments (Energy Reports, Overheating Assessments, Daylight Analysis,
BREEAM Assessments, Sustainability Statements, SAP and SBEM etc) to a multitude of clients.
Responsibilities include the completion of energy calculations and sustainability assessments, data
interpretation and analysis, site visits and surveys, regulatory consultations and report writing.

Key skills and experience:
Hold a BREEAM qualification
Preparation of BREEAM pre-assessments, strategies and reports
Preparation of BREEAM/SKA specific documents
Preparing fee proposals and Tenders
Preparing and delivering design team meetings
BREEAM Certification in:
BREEAM New Construction
BREEAM Refurbishment and Fit Out
Experience preparing sustainability statements for planning
Undertaking business development initiatives
Strong holistic understanding of sustainability within the built environment
Experience in energy modelling (Desirable)
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage workload autonomously
Proven client facing abilities
