Assistant Mechanical and Energy Engineer
12 month contract for an assistant mechanical and energy engineer working for a public sector organisation.
Your new company
This is a large, reputable public sector organisation based in Manchester with a large portfolio of over 300 properties. They have been around for over a century and have an interesting portfolio of work. The pipeline of work will include a range of laboratories, commercial buildings and educational buildings.
Your new role
In this role you will be assisting in monitoring the compliance and legislation for the following services, monitoring of Legionella, Water, Gas, Pressure Regulations. You will carry out detailed energy audits and develop schemes that will reduce both energy consumption and energy costs. You will be involved in management and implementation of processes that will ensure effective energy usage and standardised processes.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a really good technical knowledge of mechanical services and energy ideally at HNC level or above, as well as experience working within a similar role with energy management. It is essential that you will have knowledge and understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
What you'll get in return
As well a generous hourly rate, due to this contract being a maternity leave cover, your contract may get extended.
