M&E Clerk of Works

The client that I am currently working with have established themselves within the market and have been providing design & project management solutions for 15 years. They have built a brilliant client base working on projects for big blue companies which include the likes of IBM, Bentley and Clarks. Based in Southampton they are currently looking for an M&E Clerk of works to come and assist them on a more part time basis.
This job will suit someone that is maybe looking to wind down their career or perhaps looking for less responsibility and more free time. You will be travelling to various sites around Hampshire, so your own transportation is essential (All expenses will be covered). Your role will be to travel to sites and inspect both the mechanical and electrical installations of various projects to ensure the onsite contractors are doing everything correctly. You will be expected to liaise with clients, project managers and various other professionals so you are expected to well-mannered and personable. This role will be a more of ADHOC position, likely attending various sites a few times a week as and when needed, you will be told where and when to attend sites in advance of course.
M&E Clerk of Work Requirements:
To be considered for this position it is essential that you have on site experience and have a good understanding of both mechanical and electrical system installations. You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience within the industry and will be able to comfortably communicate with clients and other onsite professionals. You will ideally hold relevant qualifications in either a mechanical or electrical discipline and have a good appreciation for the other discipline.
