Associate Mechanical Engineer £60K to £65K + Car, BUPA, Pension, Bonus - London

Our client is one of the country's largest multidisciplinary property consultancies in the UK.

They work across a diverse range of property services are one of Europe's leading real estate managers, with approximately €40 billion in assets.

Clients include government agencies, corporations, financial institutions and property companies from across the UK and Europe in the commercial, retail, healthcare, residential and leisure sectors.

The Building Consultancy team are looking for an Associate able to work with their surveying teams to survey, interrogate and report on the condition, opportunities and sustainable building engineering services solutions in property acquisition, development and disposal.

Requirements:

Applicant should ideally have obtained Chartered Engineer status and/or MCIBSE OR MIET, however applicants with proven design experience in the M&E industry will be considered.

The successful candidate must have a proven ability to work within a team, leading projects in a client facing capacity and completing engineering reports, detailed design, and site supervision.

The engineer/surveyor will be able to work alone, make decisions and be able to communicate with clients to provide professional advice, founded on his wide range of experiences in the commercial, retail, healthcare, residential and leisure sectors.

The ability to liaise and communicate effectively with clients is essential. As is the ability to support and explain engineering matters to the building surveyors who you will be working with.

In summary, you will be working as part of a property advisor team, contributing to the professional advice given to the client is respect of the investment, purchase or disposal of property.

The role has an open path to a Directorship and full support will be give across the business for this to be achieved.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be comfortable in all client facing scenarios and able to undertake the following:

  • Mechanical building services design/ feasibility and scheme design reports
  • Undertake property surveys
  • Produce due diligence deports (acquisition/dilapidations/development)
  • Energy audits and management
  • Provide expert advice in the field of building services
  • Fit out and refurbishment strategy and design
  • Energy Strategy
  • Development strategy
  • Maintenance strategy
  • Asset management
  • Plant replacement and upgrade
  • Life cycle costs
  • Building commissioning and de-commissioning
