Your new company
This multidisciplinary design consultancy provide design and consultation services across the built environment, and are respected as a leading authority in the design of critical systems (data-centres). With a large number of complex and sizeable data-centre projects in the UK, Europe, and around the world, there is an opportunity for a talented and resourceful Design Manager to join their busy London office. You will join a well established critical systems team of 35 Engineers and Consultants, one of several large teams that specialises in a specific market sector. Based in a modern, light, and spacious central London office, this new role will involve some international travel.

Your new role
The Critical Systems Team work almost exclusively on hyperscale data-centre projects for major providers and technology companies.You will take a pivotal role in delivering projects and become a key point of contact for clients. You will have an overview of all aspects of MEP across these projects, and be required to travel internationally to visit sites and meet with clients. You will help establish strategies to design projects, review contracts, lead design team meetings, work with commercial teams, manage project documents, create design management tools, work with internal and external design teams, and other activities to delivery a successful project.

What you'll need to succeed
You do not need to have extensive experience in the data-centre sector, but you must have strong and demonstrable experience of managing large and complex MEP projects. You must have experience of working closely with clients, and capable of representing an established and respected brand. You will have excellent communication, management and organisational skills, be able to create productive and trusted relationships, both internally and externally of the business, and co-operate with wider the design team.
