Your new role
You'll be working on projects from inception through to completion. You'll be required to take full ownership and responsibility for the projects and the teams working on them. Building and maintaining strong relationships is key. You'll be overseeing and carrying out all of the surveying activity with regards to M&E packages. This will include producing and providing accurate forecasts of from cost through to completion and final value. Preparing tender packages for M&E subcontract work, continually monitor projected costs to completion in line with budget and ensuring that any contract variations are identified, valued and turned into agreed variation orders with the customer in a timely manner.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to be an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor with experience in Construction or Building and the ability to read drawings/plans. You'll need to be able to show an understanding of contracts and the tender process as well as being able to read drawings and understand contracts and legal issues. Experience in procurement, commercial governance, risk & opportunity management, and cost forecasting & reporting. A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying with experience in the Quantity Surveying of MEP services.
