Your new role

You'll be acting as the Principal Electrical Design Engineer within the Energy Engineering team where you'll be required to be the lead on various design stages of energy generation and efficiency projects, including feasibility, preliminary and detailed design and construction support. Key areas of the role will also include developing new propositions and providing strategic input into the growth of our team, supporting the development of systems and Intellectual Property.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need to hold a degree in a relative in an appropriate Electrical engineering discipline, and either be a Chartered Engineer or be proactively working towards chartered status with a relevant body. You'll ideally have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar client-facing role in the energy and wider building services/energy efficiency industry. You'll need to have experience of working in decentralised energy/district heating and have experience of delivering H&S by design, compliance to CDM regulations, Ex standard and ATEX compliance. Expertise in generation technologies and renewable or low carbon heat/power sources including PV, batteries, CHP, BMS and controls. You'll need strong technical skills including applying engineering first principles.
