A very well-established building services consultancy has an immediate requirement on a permanent basis for a fully qualified and experienced Mechanical Associate to join their design team in their Kent office working on prestigious Commercial, high-end residential and hotel projects.

The main responsibilities would be to deliver large complex and niche projects on time and to the highest technical standard along with management support. 

You would need to be both a team player working within a group assisting the more senior engineers along with helping and encouraging the more junior members, as well as having the initiative to work alone. 

You would monitor the quality control on projects to ensure the company quality standards are being achieved, prepare calculations /specifications and drawings, ensuring they comply with the clients brief. 

You would also have the opportunity to be involved in business development, personal and team management and client relations. 

To be considered you must have at least 8 to 10+ years’ building services mechanical design experience in the UK on large-scale commercial, residential and hotel

You should have project management experience and be equally happy preparing mechanical designs as well as taking overall responsibility for multidisciplinary projects. Be as equally happy preparing mechanical designs as taking overall responsibility of multi-discipline projects.

This is a client facing role so you should have excellent business acumen and communication skills.

You should be degree qualified and Chartered or Chartered eligible and a member of CIBSE or IMechE
