Overview

Exciting opportunities for talented Intermediate to Senior Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers to join growing Building Services Engineering practice based in Bath/Bristol.

About us

E3 Consulting Engineers are a small, dynamic building services design practice at the forefront of low energy building design, working in a range of industry sectors. We deliver award winning projects and are twice winners of the CIBSE Performance Awards for our work on low energy Passivhaus buildings.  We also specialise in heritage buildings with a number of live projects including with National Trust and Historic England.  We work with nationally recognised Architectural practices throughout the country. Our open plan studio provides easy communication, generating innovative ideas, sharing knowledge and experience for all. Our recently updated website at www.e3ce.com includes further information and project examples.

About the role

Your primary role will be the delivery of engineering designs for buildings from concept level to completion on site.  You will be client facing and you will engage directly with the design team during the design phase of the scheme. On site you will monitor progress, attend regular meetings and you will take a leading role during the commissioning and handover phase of the project. The role will involve working on multiple projects at various stages so it will be an advantage if you enjoy variety.  You will be working in a team and will report directly to the Partners.

About you

You should be qualified as (or be working towards) CEng status, with a BEng or MEng degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as a building services design engineer. You may have more experience and are looking for a role where you can act as the lead engineer with a view to taking on increasing management and leadership responsibilities.  You should be an effective communicator, motivated, practically minded, independent, enthusiastic and personable. You will be a fluent user of Microsoft Office and you should also be competent in software relevant to your discipline such as Amtech, Autocad, Revit, IES or Dialux.

What we offer

We are a supportive employer with an excellent reputation, and can provide a career full of exciting challenges in a growing business with opportunities for development and progression. We offer competitive salaries, 25 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays.  Additional benefits include regular socials, a summer away-day, flexible working, pension scheme, life insurance, and a performance bonus scheme.

How to apply

Please send your CV and a covering letter to recruitment@e3ce.com. Your letter should tell us about yourself, your experience, hopes and ambitions, and what inspires you. The closing date for applications is Friday 8th March 2019.

What happens next

Your application will be reviewed by the Partners and we will get in touch with suitable applicants within two weeks of the closing date. Interviews will be arranged at a time to suit you and decisions will be made promptly.  We look forward to hearing from you.
