My client a well-established and highly regarded building services consultancy based in Kent has an immediate requirement for a qualified and experienced Electrical Associate to take a lead role in their design team.
The main purpose of the job will be to Design, manage and supervise projects as designated by the Directors. You will assume the role of design team leader as required, co-ordinating with other engineering
disciplines. As Project Leader, you will assist the Directors with delivery of projects, with effective use of assisting engineers as necessary, maintaining technical quality, professionalism, completing all design activities to programme. You will be carrying out detailed design in accordance with industry guides. You will also be preparing specifications, reports, and design drawings, budget costs to programme and supervising project
works on site, workmanship and testing. You would also be involved with the coaching and staff training of the engineers in the group.
Main responsibilities will include
Designing, managing and supervising projects, establishing client briefs, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans and agree deliverables, ie. report, specifications and drawings scope for all projects with the Project Leader.
Agreeing level of service, and project design duties with your Project Leader, for each project, understand relationship with fee.
Assisting the Group Leader with monitoring engineering/CAD resource
requirement for each project within your control.
Carrying out engineering concept design to detailed design, tender and
contract on site supervision, to completion, ensuring projects are
undertaken in accordance with design briefs and that completion deadlines
are achieved, via frequent design reviews with other discipline engineers.
Liaising with the design team to produce co-ordinated designs that are
technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard.
Monitoring and controlling project progress, design variations and project
Developing new business opportunities where appropriate and participate
with company presentations.
You should be degree qualified and Chartered/Chartered eligible with at least 10 years' building services consultancy experience.
