Associate Mechanical Engineer

Our client Is one of the most well-known and prestigious Building Services consultancy's in the country. They are currently looking for an extremely technically capable Associate Mechanical Engineer o come and join their vibrant and bustling Birmingham office.

The client that we are currently working with have been established within the market for over 100 years now. Delivering some brilliant projects such as high-tech distribution centres as well as mixed use developments of up to £100 million in value, so there is real potential for project diversification and exponential growth as an engineer. They are located in the heart of Birmingham a stone's throw from the train station and are looking for an innovative Associate Mechanical Engineer that can get stuck straight in to some of their more high-profile projects.

This position would suit someone that has been at a Principal level for a few years but looking for their next chance for career progression. Your role would be to assist the Director in the continual management and development of the building services division in Birmingham. You will be required to involved with the winning of new business as well as managing some of the company's existing key clients so it would be important for you to have great knowledge of the Birmingham market. You will be expected to act as the lead engineer on multiple projects and will have to be comfortable adapting to a variety of different situations. You will be involved in the recruitment of new engineers in to the business as well as furthering the development of more junior and intermediate engineers. You will also be expected to attend design meetings and liaise with client's other professionals internally and externally from the business, attending industry events to uphold the consultancy's image.

Associate Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant subject
• Held a similar position in previous roles
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Building Services industry
• You will ideally be chartered and hold other professional industry qualifications
• Up to date knowledge of building regulations/ legislation
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Brilliant client management
• Strong leadership characteristics
• Good working knowledge of a variety of design software
• Full UK driving license
