Mechanical Associate

BPI (M&E) Recruitment have been retained to source, on behalf of a major Consulting Engineering organisation, a very Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer at full Associate level.

This role is open to candidates who are currently in Associate positions and also Senior/Principal Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers who are looking to change roles on a promotion basis. 

The company are an Internationally renowned Multi-Discipline Consultants.

This position will be located in their Leeds office.

There is a full package available, on top of the salary mentioned, as well as a relocation should you need to move to Leeds. 

Interested candidates must be Chartered or, at worst, about to become Chartered in the very near future.

There is a heavy responsibility within this role to recruit, mentor, drive and look after the CPD of subordinate Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers from Graduate to Senior level.

You will be managing some of the most prestigious Building Services Designs and as such, you must be prepared to become one of the team from time to time to show leadership and ensure the designs are produced to the highest possible qualities and to strict time scales.

Your communication and presentation skills will be seconds to none. You will have complete autonomy in maximizing new work from existing clients as well as getting to know the local market to secure new opportunities.

Although relying heavily on your team, you must be fully up to speed on all the major Building Services Mechanical Design Software.

You should be financially astute and used to controlling large budgets.

Your character will demonstrate that political awareness needed to be firm with clients where needed to earn you due respect in all dealings with them, mostly at Director level.
