An international property consultancy seeking a Building Services Engineer to join their engineering division.

Hays are working with an international property consultancy to source a Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineer to work as their Facilities Management Consultant based in their Belfast City Centre office. This company are a recognised as one the leading brand name consultants in their market and boast an impressive list of clients both locally and internationally.
Your new role
As part of the Building Consultancy department you will lead the Engineering Consultancy division which provides Mechanical and Electrical Building Services advice and guidance to clients on planned maintenance schedules, cost planning, engineering projects and design, technical asset management, sustainable engineering, lift and escalator installation and maintenance.
Reporting to the Director of Building Consultancy you will work alongside a team of surveyors in a modern vibrant office.
The client base will vary across sectors but include retail, industrial, office and leisure throughout Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and the mainland UK.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal person will be from a mechanical or electrical building services background and possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering consultancy or asset consultancy role. Additionally, candidates from a facilities management or M&E contracting discipline will also be considered.
Thorough technical experience and understanding of relevant discipline, as well as current British Standards, codes of practice and industry good practice.
Experience of representing a team / business at internal and external meetings.
A degree or third level qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering would be highly advantageous. Candidates with Chartered Engineering status or working towards achieving chartership would be highly desirable but not essential.
It is essential that you hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
