A small Building Services Consultancy based in Nottingham who work on high profile projects across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, retail and education. They have a strong client base and enjoy a lot of repeat business. You will have the support of several chartered engineers within the business who collectively have over 60 years of building services experience.
Your new role
The company's current need is for an Mechanical Design Engineer who has previously worked within a building services consultancy environment, or a design environment within contractors, and who has experience of a varied portfolio of projects.
You will assist Senior Engineer's / Directors by working on designated mechanical services (HVAC) design projects for a variety of building types. You will be responsible for the detailed design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and public health services.
Working with a diverse range of clients within the retail, education, commercial, leisure and health sectors as part of a design team, candidates must have a desire to work towards full professional membership, with support from our existing qualified staff.
Experience of design/calculation software such as Hevacomp and AutoCAD
What you'll need to succeed
- Completed a Minimum of a HND in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a design role
- Good experience of mechanical detail design and D&B
- Competent user of AutoCAD, Hevacomp
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Good time keeping
