Great opportunity to get involved with an international Building Services consultancy as a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer.

The client that we are currently working with are an internationally renowned consultancy with offices across the globe. They currently have 3 offices in the UK and are extremely busy within their Warrington office due to a few project wins. Due to this they need an ambitious and dynamic principal Mechanical Design Engineer to come and join their talented Building Services team and get to work on some of their major schemes.

The successful candidate will be extremely technically capable and will have brilliant skills when it comes to the detailed design of a variety of different building types. You will have good working knowledge of multiple software packages and will ideally have experience delivering projects from concept to completion. They are looking for an engineer that Is going to be able to come in and get stuck in to the design of projects straight away as well as being able to go out to site visits and handle clients. You will be expected to be versatile and easily adapt to any project while mentoring junior and intermediate member of staff so that they reach their full potential within the business. You will be responsible for writing specifications, creating feasibility reports and designing site specific equipment where needed. You will have good working knowledge of a variety of different design packages and use of Revit would be an advantage. They are looking for a well-versed engineer that is a strong all-rounder and is experienced in the leading of engineers as well as the development of the business on the whole.

Principal Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC in building services/ mechanical engineering
  • At least 10 years' experience within a design role within a building services consultancy/contractor
  • CEng or working towards chartership
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Good knowledge of a variety of design software
  • Full UK driving license
