Junior Electrical Design Engineer job | £25-30k | Central London | junior position available, 1-2 year exp.


Your new company
This building services specialist consultancy is responsible for the initial concept and detailed designs of the building services (mechanical and electrical) for buildings within the retail, residential and commercial markets throughout London. This company is able to support and develop junior engineers to grow into intermediate and offers a direct path to becoming senior engineer over a number of years.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the design work for the electrical systems within a building. This includes producing the layout of electrical wiring, lighting and electrical load calculations. In this role you will be working alongside senior engineers to develop, while getting the chance to visit sites to see the project. Over the first year you will also get the chance to attend client meetings as well as lease with architects to gain a broader perspective of the work you are involved with.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a concrete understanding of the job role within the building services sector, with ideally 1-2 years working experience on UK based projects. A good knowledge of the construction industry is vital to understanding the role.
