We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Building Lead to join the core Project Team and to contribute to the delivery of the New Museum of London at Smithfield.

We are planning to open the doors to an entirely new museum housed in an extraordinary array of important market buildings in the geographic and historic heart of London: West Smithfield. The New Museum Project, one of the largest cultural projects in Europe, will transform the museum, Smithfield and, ultimately Londoners’ relationship with their city. 

Following the appointment of the core Design Team, we are now looking for highly talented and experienced individuals to help deliver the project. We are seeking a Technical Building Lead to work with the museum and Design Team to deliver an intelligent new museum building with integrated systems and controls. The post will lead the client side Building Information Modelling and soft landings activities and will help to shape the strategy and journey from building project to building operations. The successful candidate may be from an estate, project or engineering background and will have the necessary technical skills and operational estate management experience. The post will require working intensively as part of a team, and highly developed negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential. An exceptional communicator, you will have an excellent understanding of how to manage non-technical team members with the ability and experience to drive projects forward by generating solutions and maximising team contributions.
