Property Services is seeking to employ a Building Services Design and Specification Engineer to undertake the design, procurement and management of capital and revenue funded building services projects to be delivered within both Colchester Borough Council and Colchester Borough Homes' building assets.

The Building Services Design and Specification Engineer will form part of the Corporate Facilities Management Team within Property Services reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Facilities.

Applicants must hold a degree or HND/HNC plus relevant experience in Building Services and/or Electrical Engineering and be a Member of CIBSE or IEE.  Ideally mechanically biased applicants will have at least a working knowledge of electrical engineering and vice versa.

Applicants must also be able to prepare design drawings in AutoCAD and have experience of working within listed buildings and scheduled ancient monuments, working directly with Conservation Planners and Historic England.
