Are you currently on the lookout for your next exciting career move as a Principal Mechanical Engineer with one of the most well-known Consultancies in the UK?

The client we are working with have been established for well over 100 years and have firmly cemented themselves as one of the market leaders. They work on some brilliant projects across the country and even work on international projects as well, meaning there is a great opportunity for you to really diversify your project list. Some of the brilliant projects they have worked on include high performing, sustainable retail centres, the first of their kind as well as extremely high value high end residential projects to the more interesting artistic schemes such as sculpture installations. They are currently looking for an innovative and forward-thinking Principal Mechanical Engineer to come and join their talented multidiscipline team of engineers in Bristol to assist with day to day running of projects.

They are looking for an engineer that Is going to be able to come in and get stuck in to the design of projects straight away as well as being able to go out to site visits and handle clients. You will be expected to be versatile and easily adapt to any project while mentoring junior and intermediate member of staff so that they reach their full potential within the business. You will be responsible for writing specifications, creating feasibility reports and designing site specific equipment where needed. You will have good working knowledge of a variety of different design packages and use of Revit would be an advantage. They are looking for a well-versed engineer that is a strong all-rounder and is experienced in the leading of engineers as well as the development of the business on the whole.

Principal Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC in building services/ mechanical engineering
  • At least 10 years' experience within a design role within a building services consultancy/contractor
  • CEng or working towards chartership
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Good knowledge of a variety of design software
  • Full UK driving license
