I am currently working with an Award Winning International Consultancy who are looking to appoint a senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer to their London office due to winning a number of prestigious projects in the UK including a £17m Mix use M&E project.

As a Senior / Associate Electrical Design Engineer you will still be involved in all aspect of design whilst being the lead engineer on projects and delivering them to a high standard and on time.

You will also have a team of engineers working under you who you will mentor and help develop and have overall responsibility for. The Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer will be very client facing so you must have very good communication skills and be able to stand on your own two feet in front of clients and other external parties. My clients approach to work is making sure that their staff have the best work / life balance possibly available to them including very flexible working hours, finishing at 12:30 on Fridays if all work is complete, a great social side and a very big push on health and wellbeing.

They are a big believer in staff development and have a CIBSE approved mentoring scheme. They encourage all staff to achieve CEng status within their particular field and also offer a personal allowance every year to go towards different courses you wish to attend. You will be responsible for the hands-on design of all electrical systems on Residential, Commercial and other Building projects. The successful candidate will need to be able to work on their own and as part of the wider team and have a willingness to learn new skills as the business develops. Good interpersonal and influencing skills will be required in order to build working relationships with the client teams internally and externally. • Hands-on technical design experience of Electrical systems in the Building Services industry
• Previous experience with the Drawings, Designs & Calculations of Residential, Commercial, Education, Retail & other Building projects.
• Amtech, AutoCAD & Dialux or Relux Software experience
• Must be local to, or be able to commute to London
• Fantastic communication skills • Personable character with the ability to fit in well to a professional team
