Are you currently on the lookout for your next exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading building services consultancies as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer?
The client that we are currently working with have been established as one of the front runners within the UK market for a number of years. They deliver some brilliant projects throughout a number of sectors across the country. They have multiple offices throughout the nation and employ over are currently looking for an innovative and seasoned Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to come and join their experienced team in Cardiff.
Senior Mechanical Engineer duties include:
*Undertaking strategy advice through to detailed mechanical building services design calculations using a wide range of techniques, including manual hand calculations, Excel spreadsheets and use of industry standard software such as IES and Hevacomp
*Producing feasibility reports, design specifications and drawings suitable for a wide range of design phases
*Undertake surveys on mechanical building services to advise on their suitability for continued use
*Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
*Working to deliver engineering solutions to client budgets and programmes
*Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
*Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
- Degree or HNC in building services/ mechanical engineering
- Exemplary design skills within the building services environment
- At least 7 years' experience within a design role within a building services consultancy
- CEng or working towards chartership
- Ability to mage multiple projects at one time
- Good knowledge of a variety of design software
